Who we are

The Beaumont Trust is a charitable educational resource for medical, voluntary and lay people who require to increase their knowlededge on the subjects of Transsexualism and Transvestism and offers support to those affected by the issues they raise.
 

The Trust's two objectives are as follows ;-

  1. To relieve the stress caused by transssexualism and /or transvestism to those affected, their families and friends, and to assist professional advisers in the field of care of gender dysphoria.
  2. To educate the public about these conditions.

This publication helps all in any way affected by transvestism, and has proved to be a very popular work on this subject. Copies are available from the Trust at £13.50 each inclusive of post and packing, or may be ordered through any book retailer.

Beaumont Society - a self-help association established in 1965 to facilitate contact for transvestites, transsexuals & those close to them. It has a membership approaching 800 and there is a national network of contacts. It operates in complete confidentiality and retains the individual's security whilst enabling contact with others to be made. It produces a regular bulletin & magazine for its membership. Women of the Beaumont Society (WOBS) is a support group run by, and for, wives and partners for support and to help support those whose husband's or partner's behaviour is difficult to understand. The Women of the Beaumont Society have an individual helpline available from 7.30 to 11.00 pm. on 01223 441246

Gendys Network  BM GENDYS, London, WC1N 3XX.  An association of people who have experienced Gender Dysphoria themselves, as partners, or as professionals involved in their care.  Publishes a quarterly journal, & arranges meetings & conferences.  Also referral for individual counselling if required.

The Gender Trust is the largest national charity which supports anyone affected by gender identity issues. It is a membership organisation but offers its services to anyone. It has a quarterly membership magazine. The Gender Trust National Helpline 0845 231 0505 operates 7 days a week (M-F 10am-10pm, Sa-Su 1pm-10pm).
