ABOUT WOBS
Who Are We?
WOBS are women who:
- Operate a Helpline from their personal experiences and knowledge of being in a relationship with a gender dysphoric person and can therefore empathise with their callers, anyone else should contact the Beaumont Trust or the Beaumont Society
Gender Dysphoric is a state of having gender 'dysphoria' (from the Greek word for dissatisfaction) referring to a profound sense of unease, or discomfort about one's gender, which is in opposition to one's physical sex characteristics.
What Are Our Aims?
WOBS are committed to:
- Supporting and understanding the needs of all women in an intimate, familial or social relationship with a gender dysphoric person;
- Educating and informing all persons who are interested in learning about them.
